Win|Win is the convergence point of a network of progressive organizations across Washington state. We coordinate political power, data, and resources across the organizations to advance racial, social, and economic equity through civic and political engagement. Our partners work together using tools that we help facilitate, to build a new political landscape that inspires people; where individuals engage because they see themselves and their values reflected across our democracy. About the Position
We are looking for a tech-savvy, data-minded strategic leader with a strong racial justice outlook to join Win|Win’s leadership team as our Program and Data Director. The ideal candidate is a systems thinker with political experience who understands how to use technology, data and research to inspire long term, collaborative organizing efforts. The Program and Data Director will supervise our Program and Data teams and ensure that Win|Win is successfully implementing programs that actualize our shared vision to increase power and representation among people of color, young people, women, and individuals and populations living with low-income and wages. This is a full-time position supervised by the Executive Director.
All staff are expected to provide leadership and proactive learning to advance our mission, vision, and core strategies. The Program and Data Director will be expected to act as a champion for the Win|Win Network and our partners by understanding their programs and trends impacting the communities they serve.
Core Responsibilities of the Role
Program Direction (40%)
● Lead programmatic strategy development, ensuring alignment with Win|Win’s mission and vision
● Ensure Win|Win’s core strategies (collaboration, data, analyses, and capacity building) are centered in programmatic goals, implementation plans, and evaluations for the team
● Ensure all aspects of Win|Win’s programmatic work are aligned, impactful and incorporate the goals of our network partners
● Develop and maintain authentic working partnerships throughout the state and nationally Program and Data Team Management (40%)
● Actively utilize VAN and other organizational tools for project completion and to direct work
● Provide direction, delegate and remove obstacles to support our program and data teams to reach individual and programmatic goals
● Mentor individual team members around their professional development plans, skill development and encouraging a healthy work/life balance
Organizational Leadership (20%)
● Partner with the leadership team to define annual goals based on Win|Win’s strategic plan
● Partner with the leadership team to create and manage annual budget
● Steward ongoing operationalization of Win|Win’s racial equity vision and commitments
Minimum Experience & Skills
- 4 years of formal or informal experience with team management and staff supervision, Demonstrated experience coaching and mentoring staff
- 2 years Experience managing relationships with multiple stakeholders, vendors and partners
- 2 election cycles of experience in civic or political engagement that includes:
- Grassroots community organizing and experience in coalition building
- Demonstrated experience running collaborative field campaigns with a diverse set of stakeholders toward a common goal and shared leadership
- Demonstrated experience with voter contact programs
- Experience developing and implementing field plans
- Willingness and aptitude to seek out and learn new technical skills that will further the mission of the network and assist in presenting data to partners in an accessible manner.
- Working knowledge of voter file databases and how data, targeting, and analyses are used to support civic and political engagement
- A track record of advancing racial equity outcomes and ability to work effectively with communities of color in political settings
- Working knowledge of software for mapping (ArcGIS, QGIS, etc.), reporting (Periscope, Tableau, etc.), and data management (Access, SQL, etc.)
- Multi-cycle experience using VAN (Voter Activation Network) in labor, democratic, 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) spaces
- Familiarity with online digital organizing tools and constituent relationship management tools (EveryAction, Salesforce, etc.)
Desired Experience & Skills
- Knowledge of the political, civic, and progressive landscape in Washington State
- Demonstrated knowledge of 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) nonpartisan voter engagement, advocacy rules and compliance
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $84,000-$91,000 annualized based on experience. Win|Win is a 100% remote workplace and transitioned to a 4-day work week effective January 2022 - the policy is currently under review and may be amended or revoked after an initial 90-day review period. This is a full time exempt, salaried position that requires a willingness to occasionally work outside of normal business hours.
Benefits: 100% employer-paid medical, dental, vision, paid vacation, sick time and 10 paid holidays + the week between Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Career Development, wellbeing, and cell phone/internet allowances are expended.
Anticipated Start Date: Negotiable, ideally mid February

About the Position
Providing data, field tools, data capacity, and research is a cornerstone of Win|Win’s mission. We are looking for a skilled research and data analyst to work with our ED, Development and Programs team to produce ongoing datasets, analysis, and reports needed to assist our network with long-term planning and projects. The person in this position will have access to the statewide voterfile administered by Win|Win as well as other relevant, publicly accessible data such as Census data and American Community Survey data, to inform the different projects. We are looking for someone who can critically analyze, manipulate, and visualize various data and present them in a compelling and accessible way. In addition, it is important that this person is able to mentor and train our current data team throughout the process.
We are looking for someone a combination of the following technical skills as well as skill in teaching and mentoring others through the process
- Experience working with large, public administrative datasets such as Census and American Survey Data, and Voter databases;
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills;
- Passion for Win|Win’s mission and for building capacity for our grassroots advocacy partners;
- 2+ years of community, political or policy campaign experience;
- Proficiency in Google Sheets and/or Excel;
- Familiarity with civic engagement tools / constituent relations management (CRM) systems
- Experience analyzing public and private company financial statements;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively;
- Diplomatic, professional approach to problem solving and the ability to think independently and creatively;
- 1-2 years experience in a data-focused role OR field role using VAN / Votebuilder;
- Data Visualization using Tableau, GIS mapping, or other software; and
- Statistical analysis to assess projections and trends.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Providing strategic support and analysis for partner campaigns and internal strategies;
- Analyzing policy issues that could impact key organizational and partner issue campaigns;
- Helping craft policy solutions; and
- Providing additional support for the data team as required.
